Chad's baseball pics

On Sunday morning Chad played baseball and here are some pics. I got to watch him pitch for a few innings! Yeah! The eam played really well, but lost 10-11. They all had fun though!

Church Identity series

So our church, Cornerstone Christian Fellowship in Chandler, is doing an Identity series. It's a series highlighting what we as followers of Christ believe. I've included the link to the church's website which has podcasts of the sermons. The sermons (audio and video) are available on itunes for free. the first sermon on salvation was excellent. they are all great, but the way the message was delivered was awesome. Then, the personal devotions sermon encouraged chad and i to dig deeper into our bibles. it's funny because we were being convicted by the holy spirit for a while to do this! Enjoy the sermons!

Real Home-made bread

It took a couple hours, but the reward was wonderful...fresh baked home-made bread! It was sooo yummy. I had to play around with the temperature of the water a bit until it finally came out fluffy, but it was worth it.

Monkey Bread

Chad and I made monkey bread. I know it sounds horribly disgusting, but just hear me out on this one! It's this wonderfully cinnamin and sugar coated buscuits cooked in a caramel sauce! So yummy tasting, but it kinda looks like monkey brains...not that I would know what monkey brains looks like! See for yourself cuz I took a picture of it!

The cute things kids say!

So i have this adorable 3 year old in my class. Of course they are all adorable, but this little guy said something really cute during class when it was his turn to climb the rope. You see, the turn just before he surprised me with how strong and determined he was to climb the rope. So I had said something like, "Wow, you're strong! Go muscle man, go!" as he climbed and kinda struggled up the rope (it's not as easy as it looks). Then, when it was his turn again he turned to me and said with confidence and innocense combined, "here comes your muscle man!" Then he grabbed onto the rope and climbed up with gusto! How cute is that! I'm tellin' you I have the best job in the world! Every day I'm reminded by these little ones that I'm teaching more than gymnastics...it's about planting a little confidence and helping them grow. What a gift God has given me to be able to learn these life lessons from 3 yr olds!

Happy New Year

I can't believe it's already 2008! I have no regrets for 2007. I'm so pleased with all that God blessed us with and all the tough times we endured because of His strength. I usually don't make new year's resolutions but this year I decided to do two things:
1. Wake up earlier and spend the extra time reading more of God's word.
2. Read more books in general! I've set my goal at 10!

our new years eve plan consisted of a marathon of the TV series 24, season 6! Good times!
